As a screenwriter and actor, Miles spent three years as head writer for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon from 2014 to 2017, helping develop the show before relocating with Fallon from Late Night. His on-screen roles include step-dad Gary on the Fallon skit Ew!, Marty Shonson on Comedy Central's Dog Bites Man, and recurring appearances on Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!. Miles is a frequent collaborator with director David Wain and comedy trio Stella, appearing in multiple projects spanning Wet Hot American Summer, The Ten, Role Models, Children's Hospital, and the 2005 Stella TV series. His film credits include Bamboozled, The Believer, Uptown Girls, The Baxter, and Wedding Daze. Beyond television, Miles created and starred in Horrible People for My Damn Channel and served as a regular on Wain's internet series Wainy Days. As of season five, he holds a "consulting producer" credit on Arrested Development. In 2022, Miles became announcer of the NBC reboot of Password, hosted by Keke Palmer.
