Alan Tudyk

Alan Wray Tudyk is a screenwriter and actor born March 16, 1971, in the US. He broke through with film roles in 28 Days (2000), A Knight's Tale (2001), and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004). His career pivoted heavily toward science fiction: he played Wash in the cult classic Firefly (2002–2003), reprising the role in the 2005 film Serenity. He starred in Tucker & Dale vs. Evil (2010), appeared in Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) and Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015), and landed Trumbo (2015). Voice and motion-capture work became central to his practice. He voiced Sonny in I, Robot (2004), K-2SO in Rogue One (2016) and its prequel series Andor (2025), and lent his voice to Young Justice (2010–2013, 2019), Ludo in Star vs. the Forces of Evil (2015–2019), and The Tick (2017–2019). From 2022 to 2025, he voiced Optimus Prime in Transformers: EarthSpark; in 2024, he voiced Doctor Phosphorus and Clayface in Creature Commandos; and in 2025, he voiced and motion-captured 4 in James Gunn's Superman. He currently voices The Joker and Clayface in Harley Quinn and has voiced characters for Walt Disney Animation Studios since 2012. He starred as the title character in Resident Alien (2021–2025) and appeared in Doom Patrol (2019) as Eric Morden / Mr. Nobody. Including all roles, he is the third highest-grossing actor of all time.
