Caroline Louise Flack was an English television presenter born 9 November 1979. She grew up in Norfolk with interests in dancing and theatre. Her professional career began as an actress in the comedy sketch show Bo' Selecta! (2002), before transitioning to presenting. She hosted I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! NOW! (2009–2010) and The Xtra Factor (2011–2013) for ITV2. In 2014, Flack won the twelfth series of BBC's Strictly Come Dancing and achieved a record perfect score in the final, earning widespread praise. The following year, she began co-presenting The X Factor with Olly Murs, replacing long-standing presenter Dermot O'Leary, and hosted Love Island until her resignation in December 2019 after being arrested for assault. On 15 February 2020, aged 40, Flack was found dead at her home in North East London; in August, a coroner's inquest recorded a verdict of suicide.
