Omar Banos, known professionally as Cuco, is an American singer-songwriter born June 26, 1998, from Hawthorne, California. Self-taught in music production, he self-released his first EP, Wannabewithu, in 2016, which contained early viral tracks "Lover is a Day" and "Amor de Siempre". His second EP, Songs4u, followed in 2017. The single "Lo Que Siento" (also 2017) became his breakthrough moment, earning him a record deal with Interscope Records in 2019 and allowing him to leave college to focus on his career.

His debut studio album, Para Mi, arrived in 2019 under his new label. Cuco released his second album, Fantasy Gateway, in 2022, co-created with producers Manuel Lara and Andres Rebellon. He continued releasing new material with the EP Hitchhiker on November 10, 2023, and his third album Ridin' in 2025. His music is characterized by a blend of bossa nova, indie-pop, and psychedelic elements. As a singer-songwriter, Cuco writes and performs his own material, building a career rooted in DIY production and intimate songwriting.
