Hayley Kiyoko

Hayley Kiyoko Alcroft built her name across film, TV, and music — starting as an actress in Wizards of Waverly Place (2010) and The Fosters (2014), then branching into theatrical releases like Lemonade Mouth (2011), Jem and the Holograms (2015), and Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015). She held lead roles in CSI: Cyber (2015–2016) and Five Points (2018–2019).

Her music career accelerated with three EPs—A Belle to Remember (2013), This Side of Paradise (2015) featuring "Girls Like Girls," and Citrine (2016)—before her 2018 debut album Expectations reached the top 20 in the US, Canada, and Australia. Follow-up singles "Sleepover," "Feelings," and "Curious" solidified her presence in pop; she released a fourth EP, I'm Too Sensitive for This Shit (2020), and second album Panorama (2022).

Beyond music and acting, Kiyoko ventured into publishing: her 2023 novel Girls Like Girls debuted at number one on the New York Times Best Sellers list for Young Adult Hardcover and won the Goldie Award for Young Adult Fiction. She has also created a comic book with collaborators Naomi Franquiz and Marla Vazquez, inspired by her song "Gravel to Tempo".
