Jason Woodward Kalei'ihauola Tam is an American actor and dancer born June 28, 1982, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He grew up of mixed Chinese, Hawaiian, and European descent and trained at CAP 21 in New York City for musical theatre. His breakout role came as Markko Rivera on the daytime soap One Life to Live, but he's best known for originating the SQUIP in the Off-Broadway run of Be More Chill (July–September 2018) and returning for the Broadway run (March 10–August 11, 2019). He also starred as David in Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey's If/Then at the Richard Rodgers Theater in 2014, playing the role for the entire run. Other Broadway and stage credits include A Chorus Line (2006 revival, also featured in the documentary Every Little Step), Les Misérables, West Side Story, Oklahoma!, Footloose, and She Loves Me at The Guthrie Theatre. He appeared as the apostle Peter in the 2018 live televised concert of Jesus Christ Superstar. Tam is a frequent collaborator with musical theatre writer Joe Iconis and was featured on Broadway's Carols for a Cure album in 2014.
