Jeon Soyeon (Korean: 전소연) is a South Korean rapper, record producer, and actor. Born August 26, 1998, under Cube Entertainment, she first gained attention through television competition shows Produce 101 and Unpretty Rapstar before launching her solo career with a debut on November 5, 2017. On May 2, 2018, she became the leader and rapper of K-pop girl group (G)I-dle, later rebranded as I-dle, where she has written and produced the majority of the group's lead singles. Beyond music, Soyeon has portrayed the League of Legends character Akali in the virtual musical projects K/DA and True Damage. In 2018, she was part of SM Station X's girl group project Station Young, which released their debut song "Wow Thing" in September that year. In January 2024, Soyeon was promoted to full member status of the Korea Music Copyright Association, recognizing her contributions to the industry.
