Kairi Sane

Kairi Sane (born Kaori Housako, September 23, 1988) is a Japanese professional wrestler and actress. She first rose through the ranks of World Wonder Ring Stardom from 2012 to 2017, where she adopted the ring name Kairi Hojo and embodied a "Pirate Princess" persona. In Stardom, she became a one-time World of Stardom Champion, one-time Wonder of Stardom Champion, three-time Goddesses of Stardom Champion, and five-time Artist of Stardom Champion, plus won the 2015 5Star Grand Prix Tournament and 2016 Goddesses of Stardom Tag League. She signed with WWE in 2017 under the ring name Kairi Sane, immediately winning the inaugural Mae Young Classic tournament. Assigned to NXT, she captured the NXT Women's Championship in 2018 and earned both Female Competitor of the Year and Overall Competitor of the Year at the 2018 NXT Year-End Awards. Her main roster debut in 2019 saw her paired with Asuka as the Kabuki Warriors; the team became one-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champions and won the 2019 WWE Year-End Award for Women's Tag Team of the Year. In 2020, she returned to Japan to join her husband, serving as a WWE ambassador and trainer until her contract expired in December 2021. She rejoined Stardom in February 2022 under the ring name KAIRI and also performed for New Japan Pro-Wrestling, becoming inaugural IWGP Women's Champion. After becoming a free agent in March 2023, she returned to WWE at Crown Jewel 2023 until her release in April 2026.
