Karylle rose to stardom playing Sanggre Alena in the fantasy series Encantadia (2005), reprising the role across sequels including Etheria (2005) and the crossover film Mulawin: The Movie (2005). She starred in the blockbuster Moments of Love (2006) alongside Iza Calzado and Dingdong Dantes, then returned to stage in major productions like Cat in the Hat (2007) and West Side Story (2008), earning critical praise. After transferring to ABS-CBN, she appeared in television shows Nasaan Ka Maruja? (2009) and Dahil May Isang Ikaw (2009), which earned an International Emmy Award nomination, and became a mainstay host of the noontime show It's Showtime from 2011. She was cast as a lead in the Singaporean TV series The Kitchen Musical, winning a bronze medal for "Best Performance" at the New York Festivals and earning a "Best Actress" nomination at the Monte Carlo Festival. On screen, she appeared in international productions Point of Entry (2012) and P.I. (2017), and the fantasy film Mystified (2019), nominated at the Asian Academy Creative Awards. Her theatrical work expanded to include Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella (2013), Carousel (2022), and The Sound of Music (2023). As a recording artist since 2001, Karylle has released six studio albums; her most successful include platinum-sellers Time for Letting Go (2009) and Roadtrip (2011), plus gold-certified Time to Shine (2001) and K (2013). She co-wrote "Pabigyan Ng Puso" with Jerome Hughes, which won "Best Original Song" at the 30th Metro Manila Film Festival. Her accolades include four Awit Awards, an Asian Television Award, two MTV Pilipinas Music Awards, and a Star Award for Television. Born in Manila on March 22, 1981, Karylle embodies the life-path 8's drive for mastery and achievement. As a singer and actress, she performs across live stage, recorded music, and television and film productions. She actively supports Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) and charity organizations including White Cross Orphanage and ChildHaus.
