Leona Lewis

Leona Lewis is a British singer, songwriter, and actress who rose to prominence through competitive television. Born on 3 April 1985 in London, she trained at the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology before winning the third series of The X Factor in 2006, securing a £1 million recording contract with Syco Music. Her competition winner's single, a cover of Kelly Clarkson's "A Moment Like This", peaked at the top of the UK Singles Chart for four weeks and reached 50,000 digital downloads in 30 minutes—a world record at the time.
