Li Martins

Li Martins won Popstars in 2002 and became a founding member of Rouge, the Brazilian girl group that released Rouge (2002), C'est La Vie (2003), Blá Blá Blá (2004), and Mil e Uma Noites (2005), selling 6 million copies collectively and establishing Rouge as the best-selling Brazilian girl group. She remained with the group until 2005.

In 2007, Martins transitioned to stage acting and musical theatre. She debuted as the protagonist Kim in Miss Saigon, playing an Asian woman abandoned by her American lover. In 2009, she starred in the Broadway adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, based on the Walt Disney animated film. She continued with Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde in 2010, followed by The Phantom of the Mask—her first comedy, inspired by Phantom of the Opera—in 2011. In 2012, she played Filipina Cynthia in the Brazilian production of Priscilla - Queen of the Desert, adapted from the film. She toured Brazil with Disney in Concert in 2014, performing classic Disney songs. In 2015, she appeared on the eighth season of the reality show The Farm, and in 2016 released her single Vai Chegar, which became the opening theme for the telenovela Sila on Rede Bandeirantes.
