Lil' Chris (Christopher James Hardman) was an English singer-songwriter, actor, and television personality. Born on 26 August 1989 in the UK, he came to prominence in 2006 after appearing on the Channel 4 series Rock School, which featured Kiss vocalist and bassist Gene Simmons assembling a rock band at his school. That same year, he released the single "Checkin' It Out", which peaked at number 3 on the charts, followed by a self-titled album. In 2008, he hosted his own television series, Everybody Loves Lil' Chris. As a Virgo born in late August, Lil' Chris channeled the sign's analytical nature into both performance and hosting. Lil' Chris struggled with his mental health in his final years and died by suicide on 23 March 2015 at his home in Lowestoft.
