Milkie Way is a Northern Irish singer and bassist who co-founded the rock duo Wargasm. Born Rachel Alexandra Hastings in County Antrim on 9 December 1997, she relocated to London to pursue fashion studies at the London College of Fashion, working as both a model and concert photographer before entering music. She and Sam Matlock formed Wargasm in August 2019, releasing their mixtape Explicit: The Mixxxtape in 2022, which peaked at number 19 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart. Their debut album Venom followed in 2023, reaching number 88 on the UK Albums Chart. Beyond Wargasm, Hastings has worked as a session bassist for Barns Courtney and Yungblud and contributed vocals to Trash Boat's 2021 single "Bad Entertainment" and Gunship's 2023 single "Monster in Paradise". Her live performance of "Bad Entertainment" at the 2021 Heavy Music Awards made headlines when it caused the ceremony's Twitch account to be banned for three days, leading to defiant social media responses from Hastings, Trash Boat, and the event itself.
