Bianca Ryan became America's Got Talent's first-ever winner on August 17, 2006, at age eleven, singing Broadway show tunes on NBC. Born September 1, 1994, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the American musician and singer-songwriter released her self-titled album later that year, followed by two Christmas albums and singles in 2007 and 2010.
After stepping back to finish school, Ryan re-entered music in March 2014 with a YouTube cover of John Legend's "All of Me". She self-released her original song "Alice" in May 2015, then premiered "One Day" in May 2017 after a health-related delay. Since then, she has written and released singles including "Man Down" and "Remember," with her EP The Reintroduction, Pt. 1 arriving in January 2019. A second Christmas EP followed in November 2020.
Ryan has also worked in film and television: she appeared in the 2005 feature 12 and Holding and played a lead role in the 2010 music video by The Wrecking. The independent film We Are Kings, released in 2014, featured Ryan as one of two struggling teen musicians; she co-wrote much of the film's music. As a singer-songwriter, Ryan performs, records albums, and writes original material. Born under the sign of Virgo, she is a US citizen.
