After a gap, Bhalla made his television debut in 2001 with Apne Paray, opposite veteran Rajesh Khanna, and went on to appear in serials including Tum Bin Jaaoon Kahaan, Karishma - The Miracles of Destiny, Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, Shanno Ki Shaadi, and Uttaran. He also appeared on Zee TV's singing reality show Star Ya Rockstar.
