Viviane Ferreira directed A Day With Jerusa, a feature-length expansion of her 2014 short O Dia de Jerusa that premiered at the Short Film Corner at Cannes. With that film, she became only the second Black woman to direct a fiction feature in Brazil—the first being Adélia Sampaio. Ferreira works as a director, screenwriter, and producer, and holds a law degree. She founded Odun Filmes and serves as president and co-founder of APAN, the Brazilian Association of Black Audiovisual Professionals.
