Wade Barrett

Wade Barrett is the ring name of Stuart Alexander Bennett, born on 10 August 1980 in England. He is an English-American retired professional wrestler and actor who spent his in-ring career entirely in villainous roles. Bennett won the first season of NXT in 2010 and debuted on Raw's main roster later that year, immediately rising to prominence as the leader of The Nexus, a faction of NXT rookies. In 2010 alone, he headlined five WWE pay-per-view events—SummerSlam, Night of Champions, Bragging Rights, Survivor Series, and TLC—unsuccessfully challenging for the WWE Championship in three of them. He formed The Corre in 2011 with Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, and Ezekiel Jackson, before the group disbanded and he accumulated five Intercontinental Championship reigns. In 2013, his character rebranded as Bad News Barrett, defined by his theatrical joy in delivering negative announcements, then shifted to King Barrett in 2015 following his King of the Ring tournament victory, adopting an arrogant royal persona.
