Zach Braff

Zach Braff became the face of millennial hospital comedy as John Michael "J.D." Dorian on NBC/ABC's Scrubs, which ran from 2001 to 2010 and later returned in 2026. The role earned him a Primetime Emmy nomination in 2005 and three Golden Globe nominations between 2005 and 2007. Before his television breakthrough, Braff appeared in The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy in 2000, followed by roles in The Last Kiss and The Ex in 2006, and later In Dubious Battle in 2016. He also voiced characters in Chicken Little (2005) and Oz the Great and Powerful (2013).

Braff's directorial turn came in 2004 with Garden State, which he also wrote and starred in.
