Jan Anderson (born Janina Anderson) is a Welsh actress raised in Porthcawl, Bridgend. She began performing at age seven with Vagabond Theatre and trained under drama teacher Roger Burnell at Porthcawl comprehensive school, playing roles including Annie in Annie, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, and Cecily in The Importance of Being Earnest. After leaving school at 15, she joined the Welsh National Opera, touring Carmen and studying at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. She presented HTV Wales's The Gen and appeared on television in Is Harry on the Boat, The Bill, Doctors, and London's Burning. Anderson is most recognised for her role as Chloe Hill in BBC's Casualty from 1998 to 2002. She appeared in the 1999 British film Human Traffic and later relocated to the United States, where she worked on films including Detention, Portal, and Three Days Blind, and television roles in Torchwood (playing Marie in "Reset") and Prison Break. In July 2011, she played Richard Lewis's girlfriend Stella in the eighth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm. After relocating back to the UK in 2012, she worked on Sky's comedy Trollied and voiced Katherine in the 2025 video game Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
