Kevin Dwight Daniels Jr. was born December 9, 1976, in San Diego, California. An American actor, he began his career with a supporting role in the 1998 film Twelfth Night, or What You Will, directed by Nicholas Hytner. His breakout came through recurring and featured roles across prestige television: Law & Order, Frasier, Chuck, House, and Modern Family—where he played Longinus in a recurring capacity. He became best known for playing Don Miller, a firefighter for the Baltimore City Fire Department, in both the film Ladder 49 and the USA series Sirens, where he portrayed Hank St. Clare, a Chicago EMT. Daniels trained at the Juilliard School's Drama Division as a member of Group 27 from 1994 to 1998. He has appeared in more than 20 productions overall. In 2012, he starred in the Broadway production Magic/Bird in the lead role of Magic Johnson. In 2023, he joined ABC's police procedural Will Trent as a recurring cast member playing Detective Franklin Wilks, and was promoted to series regular status for the show's fourth season in August 2025.
