Sigge Eklund

Sigge Eklund is a Swedish podcaster, novelist, TV producer and movie director born on 21 April 1974 in Stockholm. His brother Fredrik Eklund is a real estate broker and star of Bravo's *Million Dollar Listing New York*; Sigge appears as a recurring guest on the show and co-hosts the Sirius XM radio show "Buying and Selling" with Fredrik. He has published five novels at Albert Bonniers förlag, with *Det är 1988 och har precis börjat snöa* (*It's 1988 and it just began snowing*) becoming his best-known work—an autobiographical account of growing up as the son of economist Klas Eklund. His latest novel, *Into the Labyrinth*, has been translated and sold in 16 countries, including France, Germany, China, Brazil, and Japan. In 2012, Eklund co-created the Swedish-language podcast *Alex & Sigges podcast* with Alex Schulman; it became Sweden's largest podcast and won "Best Podcast of Sweden" multiple times from 2012 to 2016. The show now attracts over 250,000 listeners weekly. Beyond novels, he has published two essay collections—*Time* and *Room* (with Schulman)—and a book of prose poetry, *Life's Small Pleasures*. His television work includes co-writing the Swedish TV show *Hombres* (Kanal5) in 2004, creating and hosting the talk show *Frånvarande* (TV8) in 2008, producing the reality show *Lite sällskap* (Kanal 5) in 2010, and producing the Swedish broadcast of The Academy Awards in 2011. In 2014, he won the Swedish Radio Prize for "Best newcomer". His directorial debut is a feature film for Netflix titled *A Part of You* (2024). Since 2018, Eklund has lived in the U.S., based in New York and Los Angeles; in January 2025, his family home in Pacific Palisades was destroyed in the Palisades Fire.
