Tadeo studied at Universidad de Occidente in her hometown and first gained attention in 1995 when she competed in Siempre en domingo's "Valores Juveniles" contest, placing second. Producer Raúl Velasco connected her with Luis de Llano Macedo, leading to a guest role on the telenovela Agujetas de color de rosa later that year.
In 1996, Tadeo became one of the original cast members of Al Ritmo de la noche, a comedy-variety series with Jorge Ortiz de Pinedo. Her breakthrough was a recurring classroom sketch in which her character, Zoila, was an overweight elementary school student. The character's popularity led to the spinoff series Cero en conducta in 1998, where Tadeo continued the role.
